The Hitlist: June 2024

Here’s our round-up of everything you need to do, read, watch and listen to this June 2024!

Summer is here! Celebrate it being June (and hopefully sun!) with our rundown of everything you need to listen to, read, see and do this month.

The most hotly-anticipated debut record of 2024 is here; artist, producer, DJ and cultural trailblazer Peggy Gou releases her long-awaited debut album, I Hear You. The ten-track album is the result of years of work for the Korean-born artist, who’s is both an underground icon and global sensation, becoming one of the most in-demand DJs and electronic music artists in the world.

Megastar Jake Gyllenhaal is (finally!) heading to the small screen in Presumed Innocent, an eight-part Apple TV series based on the 1987 novel of the same name. Gyllenhaal will play Rusty Sabich, a prosecutor accused of killing his colleague. The twist? He was the one investigating the murder. We know we’ll be binging this one!

Singer, actress and all-round starlet, Paloma Faith’s debut book is dropping this June – and we can’t wait! Paloma tells us of her own unique take on motherhood and how it correlates to what it means to be a woman in this fierce, funny and passionate volume. Exploring how our bonds with our children evolve into adulthood, we get a glimpse of how she has juggled romantic love, heartbreak and dating while being a mother.

Looking for a family day full of fun? With over 100 stalls, a traditional Victorian fun fair, a beer (and tea!) tent, a dog show, and live local bands, Kew’s Midsummer Fete is a brilliant way to chill out on the village green this month. The best part? Entry is free, but all your well-spent cash will be going to some very worthy causes.
