The Hitlist: February 2023

Here’s our round-up of everything you need to do, read, watch and listen to this February 2023!

After what feels like the longest January ever, we’re here to celebrate the new month; February! We’ve found the best of what to watch, read, listen to and do, so you can make this new month the best one yet…

The team that brought you Let’s Make a Sci-Fi is back! Ryan Beil, Maddy Kelly, and Mark Chavez are busy in their writers’ room—but this time they’re doing things Maddy’s way. All Maddy has ever wanted is to write a rom-com, and with Mark and Ryan in tow, the three comedians will explore what makes a romantic comedy a romantic comedy, the cultural impact of rom-coms, and whether three people with very different lived experiences can write a fresh, contemporary, and funny love story.

Joe Goldberg is back in the fourth instalment of hit Netflix series, You. In this upcoming season Joe resides in good ol’ Blighty (the UK)! Up until now, the score has been very much the same, Joe likes a girl and ultimately ends up killing her when she discovers his true murderous nature and shockingly can't accept it. However, the upcoming instalment of Netflix's serial killer saga is slated to see Joe become a fish out of water as he navigates life under his new identity Professor Moore, attempts to make amends with the woman he stalked halfway across the world, and tries to avoid becoming the next name on another killer's list. Split into two parts, You Season Four Part One launched on February 9th.

The author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Think Like a Monk offers a revelatory guide to every stage of romance. Instead of presenting love as an ethereal concept or a collection of cliches, Jay Shetty lays out specific, actionable steps to help you develop the skills to practice and nurture love better than ever before. Inspired by Vedic wisdom and modern science, he tackles the entire relationship cycle, from first dates to moving in together to breaking up and starting over.

Reality TV comes to the West End stage with ‘The Great British Bake Off Musical’. It offers a cosy celebration of the beloved baking show and the people who go on it, setting its sights on a limited 12-week-run at the modest-sized Noël Coward Theatre. Written by Jake Brunger and Pippa Cleary, the songs accentuate the diversity of the show’s typical contestants, while centering on a romance between two contestants.
